Al Ahli Jeddah secured a historic 5-0 victory over Al Shorta of Iraq, in the sixth round of the Elite AFC Champions League, stamping a new record for the Saudi club in Asian competitions.
The win raised Al Ahli’s tally to 13 points in third in their West Asia group, behind Tractor in second by one and leaders Al Hilal with 18, underscoring the struggle to top the round tonight.
This is Al Ahli’s biggest win in the tournament history, surpassing the previous 5-1 victory over the same opponent last season, reflecting the team’s significant improvement and its strong readiness for the upcoming stages ahead.
