Al Ahly pressing to seal Qaabil deal
Egyptian giants Al Ahly are close to sealing a deal for Mustafa Qaabil, a 21-year-old Iraqi Under-23 striker from Erbil.
A reliable source told Kooora that talks are progressing to wrap up the move in coming hours, before the winter window closes.
Qaabil sits at the top of Al Ahly’s shortlist, with intensive talks underway to announce the signing.
Qaabil profile and other signings
Al Ahly has already announced five signings—Hadi Riyad, Amr El-Gazar, Marwan Osman, Hamza Alaa, and Youssef Belamri—and is set to unveil Angolan forward Eltsin Kamouish.
Qaabil is 21, able to play on the wing or as a late forward, with four Iraqi league goals in 12 games and five assists.
If completed, he would be registered under the league’s age rules.
