Al-Daie's Derby Dig: If Hamad Al-Muntaishri Trained Al-Ahli, They'd Lead the League
Al-Daie playfully taunts the Al-Ittihad legend after the derby setback.

Derby Aftermath Fuels Light-Hearted Jab

Mohammed Al-Daie, the former Al-Hilal goalkeeper, teased his counterpart Hamad Al-Muntaishri, the legend of Al-Ittihad, after Al-Ittihad's 1-3 derby loss to Al-Ahli in Jeddah on Friday night, round 25 of the Roshen Saudi League.

As a result, Al-Ittihad's points sit at 42 in sixth place, while Al-Ahli climbed to 62 and moved atop the standings.

On the Saudi program 'Dourina' he said: 'If Hamad Al-Muntaishri coached Al-Ahli, they'd top the Roshen Saudi League.'

He added: 'Al-Ahli, with any coach, would reach the summit; the side is complete from defense to attack.'

He concluded: 'Al-Ahli has a superb group of players, unlike Al-Hilal, which lacks a right-back.'

Punchline 1: If the league were a comedy club, Al-Daie would be the headliner with a save and a punchline.

Punchline 2: Hire a goalkeeper with jokes, and you win the league—because laughter is apparently a great defense.
