Al Hilal pivots to renew Koulibaly as Neves signs on

Saudi press says Al Hilal opened talks to renew Koulibaly's contract today.
The Sports newspaper reported that the club aims to extend Koulibaly's contract by one year.
The newspaper added that Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the team's commander, urged renewal of the Senegalese defender's contract after Neves' deal is still ongoing for them.
Koulibaly's current contract with Al Hilal ends at season's close, with a clause permitting a one-year extension option.
Earlier today, Al Hilal announced Neves' contract extension through 2029, closing the door on rumors about the player's future completely.
Koulibaly joined the Blues in 2023, and since then he has been a key part of lineup.
Koulibaly has appeared in 110 matches and helped club win a treble in 2023-24.
