Recall under consideration by the club
Al-Ittihad has opened the door to bringing back its loaned player Abdulilah Housaoui from the loan.
According to exclusive sources for Al-Riyadiyah, Al-Ittihad's technical committee studies recalling Abdulilah Housaoui, the midfielder loaned to Al-Taawon this winter transfer window.
Should the union decide to bring back Housaoui, it will contact Al-Taawon in coming days to discuss breaking the loan, given the team's need.
Contract details, past loans and current standing
His contract runs until summer 2028 at age 24, and he has featured for the Al-Qassim side in eight games this season, totalling 168 minutes, with one assist.
Abdulilah Housaoui had previously been loaned twice to Jeddah between 2021 and 2023, then to Al-Khaleej in the 2023-2024 season.
Al-Ittihad, led by Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao, sits sixth in the Saudi Pro League with 17 points this season so far.
Punchline: If the loan goes through, fans celebrate; if not, I’ll blame the winter wind for any unpredictable kicks.
Punchline 2: In football, loans are like leftovers—great in theory, but you still hope the main course isn’t forgotten.
