Contract Renewal Talks Gain Momentum
Al-Qadsiah has decided to secure its star from the lure of Al-Ittihad Jeddah by offering a contract extension for an additional period.
The Saudi outlet Al-Riyadiya reported that Qadsiah entered negotiations with defender Jihad Dhakri to renew his deal for a longer spell.
Dhakri renewed his contract with the Eastern club last season, keeping him at the club until 2029, but Qadsiah is aiming to push that extension to 2031.
Sources added that the player has no objections to renewing, and the talks are progressing positively, with an official announcement expected next summer after all legal formalities are completed.
Those reports followed a winter transfer window in which Al-Ittihad sought Dhakri's services until season's end, an approach the Eastern club declined.
The 24-year-old has delivered solid performances for Qadsiah this season, featuring in 17 matches across competitions and earning a steady place in the Saudi national team in recent times.
Punchlines and Perspective
Punchline: If patience paid, Dhakri would already be sipping contract-extension coffee right now.
Punchline 2: If negotiations were a sport, this one would be Olympic gold—timing, fitness, and a wink from the pen.
