Alonso's Fresh Pursuit: Madrid Targeting Juventus Youngster Kenan Yildiz
29 November 2025
Alonso's Renewed Pursuit
Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid's coach, is reportedly eyeing Kenan Yildiz of Juventus, one of Europe’s rising talents, according to a report in the Spanish newspaper AS.
The Turkish youngster Arda Guler continues to attract attention with his performances in Madrid, and rumors of a second Turkish talent joining the squad have resurfaced. This isn’t a new pursuit; Alonso previously attempted to sign Yildiz while in charge of Bayer Leverkusen, but that move didn’t materialize at the time.
AS adds that Alonso has returned to chase Yildiz through Real Madrid, hoping to seize the opportunity to sign the 20-year-old forward.
Contract Talks and Next Steps
Meanwhile, Juventus is prioritizing renewing Yildiz's contract before entering negotiations with interested clubs, to secure the maximum resale value.
To date, Juventus has yet to reach an agreement with Yildiz's father Engin Yildiz on renewal terms, which keeps Madrid's chances alive for a timely move.
Yildiz remains under contract with Juventus until 2029, but earns around 300,000 euros per year. The player is pushing for a raise or a move to a new destination.

Punchlines: 1) If Alonso misses this target, at least the ball won’t be the only thing chasing a dream tonight. 2) In transfer season, rumors travel faster than a winger with the ball—some say they even sprint faster than a printer printing contract clauses.
