Arsenal's Key Trio Return Ahead of Leverkusen Clash
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has recalled three players ahead of the Champions League last-16 first leg against Bayer Leverkusen, scheduled for Wednesday at the BayArena.
William Saliba, Riccardo Calafiori, and Leandro Trossard all traveled to Germany for the tie, giving Arteta fresh options for a tricky European test.
Calafiori and Trossard had been sidelined with injuries sustained in the FA Cup win over Mansfield Town, but both took part in training ahead of the trip.
Saliba, who has been out with an ankle problem, was also in line to return after missing the last two matches against Brighton and Mansfield, depending on late checks.
In the pre-match press conference, Arteta indicated there is a chance Calafiori and Trossard could be available, with decisions to be made the following day.
Arsenal's official site notes that Gabriel, Declan Rice, and Martin Odegaard will return after rest, but captain Odegaard will remain out of the squad.
Kick-off is set for 18:45 local time on 11 March 2026, as Leverkusen host Arsenal in the BayArena for the first leg of the last-16.
