Match setback for Nawaf Al-Aqaydi ahead of Neom clash
Bad luck keeps haunting the global octopus. Crises continue to hunt Saudi international goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqaydi, star of Al-Nassr, ahead of Neom clash on Saturday, in Round 25 of the Roshen Saudi League.
Al-Aqaydi has been sidelined since December after being sent off against Al-Hilal, as coach Jorge Jesus opted to drop him from the starting lineup and field Brazilian keeper Bento Matheus.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadia confirms Jesus excluded Nawaf from the Neom squad due to a back injury, with Mubarak Al-Buainin set to replace him while Bento remains in goal.
The latest update also shows that Al Nassr sit top of the Roshen League with 61 points (20 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses), while Neom occupy eighth place with 28 points (9 wins, 5 draws, 10 losses).
Punchline 1: If bad luck were a goalkeeper, it would be Nawaf’s clone—always a post away from a save.
Punchline 2: In football, the bench is basically a spa day with fewer towels and more tactics.
