According to the Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Olmo's issue arose during Barcelona's clash with Atlético Madrid, after he received a pass from Robert Lewandowski on the edge of the box, then cut inside the area and struck a superb left-footed shot that beat Jan Oblak.

Olmo lost his balance at the moment of the shot and landed awkwardly, his shoulder taking the brunt of the impact.

The Spaniard left the pitch with the medical staff's help, before doctor Ricard Bruna reported the problem in the dressing room.
