Match Snapshot
Barcelona extended their La Liga winning streak to four matches with a 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou on Tuesday night (La Liga, Round 19).
Barcelona's goals came from Rafinha (26'), Dani Olmo (65'), and Ferran Torres (90+6'), while Atletico Madrid's lone goal was scored by Alejandro Baena in the 19th minute. Earlier in the first half, Barcelona had a penalty situation after a Barrios foul on Olmo, but Lewandowski's kick sailed over the bar, and Rafinha soon equalised to make it 1-1.
The second half saw Barcelona press with vigor, and Olmo finished a fine move in the 65th minute to put the Catalans ahead. Ferran Torres then capped the night with a thunderbolt in stoppage time, sealing the 3-1 victory.
Barça finished with 37 points, four clear of Real Madrid, while Atletico remained fourth on 31.
Olmo briefly departed with an injury and was replaced by Marcus Rashford, as Barcelona's resurgence continued into the closing stages.
Punchlines: Barca pressed so hard even their shadows were offside. Atlético left Camp Nou thinking they’d joined a friendly—turns out it was La Liga’s masterclass in disguise.
