Bayern Munich bets on a long Harry Kane era

Kane's Bayern Future
Christoph Freund, Bayern Munich's sporting director, reaffirmed the club's commitment to keeping their English star Harry Kane for as long as possible.
Bayern signed Kane, arriving from Tottenham in the summer of 2023 for close to 100 million euros.
In an interview with Sky Germany, Freund said that as management, and Kane, they can easily imagine continuing together beyond the current contract.
Kane feels very comfortable in Munich, and Bayern hopes he will stay for several more years.
There have been reports that Kane has a 65 million euro release clause; activation would require the player to inform the club before January.
Kane's contract runs until the summer of 2027.
This season Kane has featured since the Club World Cup in 15 matches, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists.
Overall, Kane has played 106 matches for Bayern, scoring 103 goals and contributing 29 assists.
Over the past weeks, there has been speculation about a return to the Premier League to chase the all-time top scorer record.
Kane insists he wants to stay and responds that he is happy here, with two years left on his contract, enjoying every moment with the team and coach, and that a return to England is not in his mind.
On Bayern's ability to win titles, he said yes, this is the perfect place for that.
Regarding a potential contract extension, he said it can be discussed later; two years remaining means no need to worry; he believes both sides are happy.
On the all-time Premier League goal record of Alan Shearer, he said that the number is not really on his mind; since arriving at Bayern he has enjoyed playing at this level.
According to the Telegraph, Kane's likely destination if he leaves Bayern would be Manchester United rather than Tottenham.
Even if United has struggled since the Sir Alex Ferguson era, it remains one of England and Europe’s big clubs and could still attract top talents.
Kane remains a remarkable player, yet a single player cannot lift a team out of the lower half of the Premier League.
There are reports that Kane remains hungry for more, and some in north London argue any future trophy with Spurs would have greater meaning than domestic success with Bayern.
The article notes Kane's continued scoring, surpassing 100 goals for Bayern in just over 100 matches, becoming the fastest among the five major European leagues to reach 100 goals for a single club this century.
He achieved the milestone in 104 matches, beating Ronaldo and Haaland who did it in 105.
Punchline 1: If Bayern keeps racking up goals, they’ll need a calendar just for Kane’s celebrations. Punchline 2: With Kane scoring like this, Munich may start printing replica trophies just to keep up with the numbers.
