Semi-final mood on the Moroccan coast
Egyptian stars are easing the pressure by enjoying a break on a Moroccan beach after reaching the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semi-finals.
Egypt edged Ivory Coast 3-2 in the quarterfinals in Morocco and are set to face Senegal in the semi-final on Wednesday.
According to Moroccan outlet Al Botola, captain Mohamed Salah and his teammates were seen playing beach volleyball on a beach in Agadir's Taghazout early Sunday.
The outlet shared the clip on Facebook, noting that Salah seems to have blended into the relaxed Moroccan atmosphere and the mild Agadir climate.
Egypt will be chasing revenge on Senegal after the Lions of Teranga won the 2021 AFCON final and the decisive World Cup 2022 qualifier.
Whoever wins Egypt-Senegal will meet the winner of Morocco-Nigeria in Sunday's final.
Punchline 1: Even the waves are shouting "goal!" at Salah. Punchline 2: The sand may get a yellow card for slipping someone—it's a slippery pitch.
