Belamri Debut for Al Ahly Ahead of Tanzanian Fixture
Moroccan defender Youssef Belamri has joined Al Ahly for the first time in preparation for Saturday’s visit by Young Africans from Tanzania, in the CAF Champions League’s fourth group game.
Belamri moved to Al Ahly from Raja Casablanca during the ongoing winter transfer window.
He did not feature in the squad for the third group-stage match against Young Africans or the Egyptian league clash with Wadi Degla.

And if you’re wondering about the punchlines: football is a joke until the ball finds the net, then it’s a standing ovation. If this squad were a snack, it would be a spicy turnover with extra drama. Punchlines: 1) The bus arrives late, but the players arrive earlier on the field than the suspense around the substitutions. 2) Don’t worry, the coach says the team will be ready—just bring a map for all the twists and turns in the lineup.
