Victor Braga, Al-Najma's goalkeeper, ended Ivan Tony's historic streak by saving a penalty against him on Thursday night, during round 23 of the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ahli had earned a penalty, and Tony stepped up, but he blasted it comically wide to the right in the 37th minute of the first half.
Braga made the save brilliantly, only for Tony to strike again, but the rebound landed in Braga's arms.
This was the first missed penalty for Tony since joining Al-Ahli in summer 2024, after he had converted 24 penalties in all competitions.
Overall, it's the third penalty Tony has missed in his career, with his last miss dating back to Newcastle United vs Brentford in the English Premier League on April 8, 2023.
