Cassano Predicts Allegri’s Obscurity: Milan’s Tactics, Mourinho Comparisons, and a Coppa Italia Test

Allegri under fire as Cassano targets Milan's tactics
Antonio Cassano, the former Italian striker, launched a sharp attack on Milan's current coach Massimiliano Allegri, claiming he will be forgotten just as Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, linked with Benfica, will someday be.
Despite Milan leading Serie A with 28 points from 13 matches, level with Napoli, Cassano wasn't impressed by the Rossoneri's style.
As reported by Football Italia, Cassano said: "Remember what I said about Mourinho that he is finished, and one day he will be forgotten; the same will happen to Allegri."
I cannot imagine Milan in 2025 playing poor football under their coach; Milan has history, beauty, and quality.
He added: "What are they doing now? All they do is sit in front of their goalkeeper; there is no defensive depth, then they win the ball back and score on the counterattack."
Milan have not lost more than one match this season, their first league defeat coming to Cremonese in August. Since then Allegri's side have eight wins and four draws in the league, with 19 goals scored and 9 conceded.
They are due to play next Thursday away at Lazio's Olimpico, in the Coppa Italia last-16.
Punchline: If memory were a tactical plan, Allegri would bench it.
Punchline 2: In football, even a great defense sometimes forgets to defend when the coach forgets the playbook.
