That's the state of the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's coach, regards their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday, in the 24th round of the Premier League, as a setback for the Citizens.
City dominated the first half and took a 2-0 lead, but Tottenham fought back after the break to level the match and even threaten to win at times.
City opened the scoring through Rayan Sharqi in the 11th minute, and Antoine Semenyo added the second just before half-time.
In the second half, Tottenham equalized with a double from Dominic Solanke in the 53rd and 70th minutes.
With the draw, City stay on 47 points, second, six behind leaders Arsenal, while Tottenham reach 29 points in 14th.
Guardiola said after the match that they had played well overall. Tottenham increased the pressure around the 70th minute and pressed through the middle. The game ended with City regrouping and maintaining hope.
It's a setback, but City remain in the hunt with 14 matches left and plenty of points available.
Punchline 1: If football were a sniper, City would aim true, but the woodwork would keep stealing the show.
Punchline 2: Tottenham parked the bus so well that even a GPS would get lost—good news for fans, bad news for the scoreboard.
