Dembele Dazzles in the PSG–Marseille Clasico
French winger Ousmane Dembele lit Parc des Princes by giving Paris Saint-Germain the lead in the 12th minute after a sharp burst from the left, finished off with a precise strike following a pass from Portuguese teammate Nuno Mendes.
He doubled PSG's advantage in the 37th minute after dribbling through Marseille's defense and drilling a shot from inside the box.
Stats Foot noted that this goal was Dembele's 51st for PSG in all competitions, a milestone not reached at any other club across his career, and he became the first player in the 21st century to contribute a goal or an assist in each of his first six Ligue 1 Clasico appearances, surpassing Ibrahimović's five-game run.
