A reliable source inside Al Ahly denies negotiating with Moroccan full-back Mahmoud Bentayik, who recently terminated his contract with Zamalek.

Zamalek took a heavy blow after Bentayik's unilateral move to end his deal with the White Knights due to unpaid dues.

The source told KOOORA, "There has been no contact with Bentayik, and this is completely untrue."

Al Ahly has reportedly finalized an agreement with Yousef Belamri, Raja Casablanca's left-back; only contract signing with the player and his Moroccan club remains, so they will not recruit two foreigners in the same position.

He added, "Similarly, we have not entered negotiations to sign Salah Misdak, a former Zamalek player who terminated his contract due to unpaid dues."

He also noted, "Some people drag Al Ahly's name to imply it caused these players to depart and end their contracts with Zamalek."

He concluded, "We are not negotiating with any Zamalek player at the moment, but once any contract ends and a player becomes free, we may consider his services."
