Trabelsi: Morocco's strength and a warning not to underestimate Tanzania
Sami Trabelsi, head coach of Tunisia, said that a local coach can still deliver great achievements and praised the Moroccan side ahead of their highly anticipated clash with Tanzania.
During the press conference presenting Tunisia's match against Mali, scheduled for tomorrow in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 in 2025, he added that there is no issue between domestic and foreign coaches, but when a domestic coach enjoys unconditional support, results tend to be good.
He continued: In Morocco there is an example, Walid Regragui, who earned full trust after reaching the World Cup semi-finals, and that is not easy or always available. Unfortunately, in some countries and media outlets, the value of the domestic coach is diminished excessively.
On Morocco's match with Tanzania, which Tunisia faced in the group stage and drew 1-1, he said that the Moroccan team does not need tips; they are a good side with many talented players.
And Trabelsi added: I always say, do not underestimate a small foe in a confrontation. Football is not a fixed thing, surprises happen, but the Moroccan team is strong.
