28 December 2025
Event Highlights
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese icon, expressed joy after winning Best Player in the Middle East at the Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in front of a who’s-who of football’s luminaries.
During the ceremony Ronaldo thanked the organizers and, in English, praised the gathering of players, club presidents, agents, and everyone involved, including his wife Georgina. He called it a wonderful night and shared gratitude for the incredible crowd.
He added in Arabic, "Inshallah," noting that playing at forty is tough but his passion remains. He said he aims to win more titles and to reach the milestone of 1000 goals.

The show also crowned Ousmane Dembélé of Paris Saint-Germain as the World Player of the Year, surpassing a long list of stars. Lamine Yamal and Rafinha of Barcelona were highlighted among the nominees and performances were celebrated.
Ronaldo’s remarks came after a season that PSG described as monumental, yielding a historic sextuple and continuing to shape one of football’s most storied clubs. The ceremony also recognized Aitana Bonmatí as the best female player for her stellar form with Barcelona, alongside other honors awarded that night.
And now the punchlines: If patience were a goal, Ronaldo would already have 1000. Also: the man keeps chasing his dreams—note that the GPS in his brain always says "goals", even when the map says "home".
