11 December 2025
Match Postponement Details
Zamalek Sporting Club announced the postponement of its Round of 32 Egypt Cup clash with Baladiya Al-Mahalla by 24 hours.
Abdel Nasser Mohammed, the club's head of football, said on the club's website that management had sent an urgent letter to the Egyptian Football Association requesting the delay.
The match had been due to kick off at 2:30 PM on December 27.
The Egyptian Football Association approved the request, moving the kickoff to 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 28.
The game will be played at the Al Mokawloon Al-Arab Stadium.
The delay was attributed to the team's commitment to a Smouha fixture on December 25, in the Cairo Capital Cup.
Fans will have to wait a little longer for the duel, but football loves a good plot twist on deadline day.
Punchline 1: If time is money, this match just filed for bankruptcy.
Punchline 2: And in football, even the clock plays hard to get—it's booked by the week!
