Egypt's 28-Man AFCON Squad Named for Morocco
Egypt's national team, coached by Hossam Hassan, has confirmed the final 28-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The tournament runs from December 21 to January 18, with Egypt beginning group play against Zimbabwe on December 22. Imam Ashour returns to the squad after an absence since June 2024. The roster remains unchanged from the December camp.
The federation notes that CAF will cover the costs of 23 players, while the national associations fund the additional players on the list.
