Egyptian League Thriller: Mokawloon Edges Ismaily 2-1 in Ismailia

Al Mokawloon Al Arab edged Ismaily 2-1 on Thursday at Ismailia Stadium in the Egyptian Premier League’s 15th round.
Ugandan forward Joaquin Ojera opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a superb strike.
Abdelrahman Al-Dah equalized for Ismaily in the 62nd minute with a thunderous shot.
Ojera restored Mokawloon’s lead in the 68th minute following a defensive error.
Ibrahim Al-Qadi of Mokawloon was sent off in the 80th minute.
With the win, Mokawloon moved to 13 points, sitting 15th in the table.
Ismaily dropped to 10 points, 20th, under Algerian coach Miloud Hamdi.
Al-Ittihad of Alexandria remained bottom with 8 points.
Earlier on Thursday, Ismailia’s Kahraba beat Haras El Hodoud 2-1, and Wadi El-Djla beat Ghazl El Mahalla 3-2 earlier in the evening.
Next fixtures will test both sides as the season tightens.
