Enppi Sets the Record Straight: No Official Bid from Al Ahly for Shakshak Yet
3 January 2026
No Official Offer Yet
Mohamed Ismail, Enppi's sports director, addressed reports that Al Ahly were nearing the signature of Mustafa Yasser "Shakshak" during the current winter transfer window.
Al Ahly is looking to reinforce their squad as they aim to reclaim Africa's Champions League throne after last season's title was won by Pyramids, according to local media.
Mustafa Shakshak, 25, plays as a defensive midfielder and can also operate as a right or left-back or winger on either flank.
Shakshak’s Record at Enppi
Promoted from the youth ranks in 2020, he has featured in more than 131 matches for Enppi over five seasons, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists.
The Enppi sporting director told Koora that the rumors circulated from media reports, but there are no official offers on the table.
He added: "We have not discussed his departure because no official offers have reached us, and no club official has contacted us about Al Ahly."
Enppi maintains strong relations with all clubs and there is no dispute with Al Ahly; the club will consider letting the player move if an official bid arrives.
Punchline 1: If rumors were goals, Al Ahly would be lifting the trophy every January.
Punchline 2: Shakshak doesn’t chase rumors; rumors chase Shakshak—and still miss the target.
