Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has clearly stated that Bayern Munich are not on his radar as he turns his attention to Lorient, the upcoming Ligue 1 clash on Wednesday. The Spaniard emphasized that his focus remains on the next match rather than the Champions League talk surrounding Bayern.

PSG sit at the top of Ligue 1 with 20 points, chasing by five clubs, the nearest being Lens on 19 points. Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille are level on 18, while Lille and Monaco share 17 points in fifth and sixth place.

When asked about Bayern Munich, he responded: "We are preparing with seriousness for tomorrow’s match and we aren’t thinking about upcoming fixtures; our full focus is on the Lorient game."

Enrique praised the variety within the PSG squad: "I love the range of abilities across players; diversity is a key strength that helps us deal with injuries and congested schedules across competitions. It’s something I’ve noticed throughout my 15-year coaching career—the ability to adapt is crucial for the club and the team."

He also mentioned the challenge of rotating the starting XI and the importance of consulting players before making selections, noting that some players’ form can fluctuate, but it’s his duty to champion every member of the squad.

On defender Marquinhos, Enrique said: "He’s excellent at set pieces, and I’m happy to work with such a captainly, ambitious professional who can continue to develop regardless of age."

Asked whether Lucas Shovaly (the goalkeeper) is guaranteed to be first choice, Enrique replied: "It depends on the circumstances. We manage things to serve the team’s interests, and there’s no sacred place for any player."
