Farco extends winning run in the Cairo Capital Cup
Farco continued its winning streak in the Cairo Capital Cup after securing the third consecutive victory by defeating ENPPI 2-1 on Wednesday evening at the Border Guard Stadium in Alexandria, in the third round of Group A.
ENPPI took the lead through Ali Mahmoud in the 51st minute, but Farco levelled through Ahmed Bahrawy in the 65th, with Senegalese Babacar Ndai scoring the late winner in the 73rd.
Led by coach Ahmed Khattab, Farco rose to 9 points at the top of Group A with three straight wins, while ENPPI sit second on 6.
Group outlook and other results
In Group A, a trio battle for spots remains, with Talaea El-Jeish on 3 points and Ghazl El Mahalla and Al Ahly close on goal difference; El Mokawloon Arab sits in sixth with zero points, just behind Ceramica Cleopatra and others in the pecking order.
In Group C, Ismailia Electricity drew 1-1 with Ittihad Alexandria at the Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo. Karim Yahya gave Ismailia the lead in the 45+1st minute, while Nigerian Abu Bakr Liadi equalised for Ittihad in the 55th.
Ismailia’s points tally rose to two, placing them fifth, while Ittihad sits fourth with three points.
Meanwhile, in Group C, Zamalek lead the group on four points, ahead of Al Masry on goal difference; ZED are on three, and Haras Al Hodoud occupy the bottom with one point, just behind Sidi? (the rest of the group standings are tight).
