Brazilian star Roberto Firmino, who plays for Al Sadd, attended the fixture to back Flamengo in the clash with Egyptian side Pyramids on Saturday evening, in the Club World Cup Intercontinental Cup match at the iconic Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Firmino was in the stands to watch the game, signaling his support for the Brazilian side in the Club World Cup semi-final.

Firmino previously wore the jerseys of Figueirense and Tombense in Brazil before moving to Europe, where he donned Hoffenheim's, Liverpool's, and Al Ahli Saudi's kits.

Leo Pereira opened Flamengo's scoring with a precise cross that found the back of the net past Ahmed El-Shenawy in the 24th minute.

Ramadan Sobhi was ruled out for disciplinary reasons linked to a doping-sample issue, while Walid El Karti missed out after taking part with Morocco at the Arab Cup, and Sherif Ekrami sat out for technical reasons.

Pyramids had defeated Auckland City 3-0 in the group stage and later beat Al Ahli Saudi 3-1 in the tournament so far.
