First Blood for Al-Nassr: Hamdan Nets His Debut Goal in ACL 2 Clash
11 February 2026
Overview
Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Al-Nassr's new striker, netted his first goal for the club as they faced Arkadag Turkmen in the AFC Champions League 2.
Al-Nassr travelled to Arkadag on Wednesday for the ACL 2 quarterfinals, aiming to take the initiative in the two-legged tie.
Al-Hamdan struck in the 19th minute after a precise through ball from Brazilian Angelo, finishing over the goalkeeper to open the scoring.
The goal was the first for the Saudi forward with Al-Nassr since joining in the winter transfer window from rivals Al-Hilal.
Turning Point
It came in the first start for Hamdan with the "World's Club" nickname, after he had previously appeared as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Al-Ittihad on Friday in the 21st round of the Roshen League.
Additionally, this goal was Hamdan's first in about ten months, dating back to his strike for Al-Hilal in a 7-0 win over Gwangju of Korea on April 25 last year, during the Elite stage of the AFC Champions League.
Two punchlines to keep the mood light: 1) If football were a sniper contest, Hamdan just hit the target on the first try—no collateral damage, only the net. 2) The through ball was so precise it could file a tax return for the goalkeeper's nerves.
