After leaving Morocco, where could Rekraki go next?
Mohammed Al-Magoudi, the coach's agent, clarified that Rekraki has not received any official offers to coach in the Saudi Pro League for the upcoming phase.
Some media reports had claimed Rekraki was sought by certain Saudi clubs after he left the Moroccan national team.
Rekraki had already achieved a historic feat with Morocco by reaching the World Cup semifinals in Qatar 2022 and finishing fourth.
Yet Rekraki decided to step away from leading the Atlas Lions after a 1-0 loss to Senegal in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final. CAF later stripped the title from Senegal and awarded it to Morocco, citing protests by Senegal players over a late penalty.
Al-Magoudi told Al-Koora's Saudi newspaper that no formal offers had reached them, and that the rumors were just chatter.
Mohammed Wahbi, a World Cup under-20 champion with Morocco, is reportedly moving to coach the senior team after Rekraki's departure.
