Al-Nassr regains Abdulrahman Gharib ahead of Asia clash
Al-Nassr have regained their player Abdulrahman Gharib ahead of their upcoming AFC Champions League 2 match against Al-Zawraa of Iraq.
Al-Nassr will host Al-Zawraa on Wednesday at Al-Nassr Park, in the sixth and final group stage round of AFC Champions League 2.
According to The Day newspaper, Abdulrahman Gharib took part in the team's training today, confirming his readiness to participate in the match after recovering from a thigh muscle injury.
The 28-year-old is a favorite for the competition, with Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus heavily relying on him for its matches.
Since the start of the season, Gharib has appeared in 11 matches across competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing as many assists; all six of his contributions came in the Asian competition, across four matches.
Notably, Al-Nassr has already qualified for the Round of 16 of AFC Champions League 2 after winning its five previous games, topping Group D with 15 points, six points ahead of Al-Zawraa in second place.
Punchline 1: If he keeps healing as fast as his teammates celebrate, the medical staff might start charging admission. Punchline 2: And yes, if the goals keep coming, the trophy attendant might need sunglasses to handle all that shine.
