Gulf pushes hard as Murad Hawsawi transfer talks heat up
Hawsawi in action as transfer talks heat up.

Negotiations intensify as Gulf sets terms

Al-Khaleej FC has begun pressing its terms on the federation in order to approve negotiating the signing of Murad Hawsawi during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Reports in the press confirmed that Al-Ittihad sent an official offer to Al-Khaleej, requesting to sign Hawsawi in the upcoming winter transfer window, making him the second suitor after Al-Hilal.

The Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah said Gulf replied to the union's offer by requiring a clear financial figure they would be willing to pay to bring the international midfielder.

Price talks as a prerequisite for talks

Gulf's management sees fixing the money value as a fundamental step to formalize talks between the clubs in the coming period.

Ahmed Khreideh, Gulf's president, had previously refused to name the exact amount they want to receive, saying the priority is to secure an offer that preserves the club and the player's standing.

Murad Hawsawi has been delivering strong performances with Gulf since joining them last summer, a run that helped him earn a recent call-up to the Saudi national team.

The 24 year old has appeared 11 times for Gulf this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists, while also featuring for the Saudi national team in two Arab Cup 2025 matches.

Humor note: If negotiations were a sport, this transfer saga would be a marathon with breaks for coffee and contract clauses.

Punchline 1: If contract talks get any tighter, they'd need a safety pin for the deal.

Punchline 2: Morad Hawsawi is 24 and already fluent in transfer talk, coffee orders, and side deals.
