Hakimi Update: PSG Star's Rehab Path to AFCON, with a Twist of Style

Hakimi's rehab update at PSG
The Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, a right back for Paris Saint-Germain, continues his individual rehab program at the club's training complex.
PSG posted a video on its official X account showing the Moroccan star performing solo drills under the supervision of the club's fitness coach.
The clip suggested the player had ditched the medical boot and was carrying out intensive physical work.
Hakimi suffered a strong ankle injury after a heavy challenge by Diaz, the Bayern Munich forward, during their November 4 Champions League match.
The Bavarians won 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, with Diaz's goal and a straight red for his harsh tackle.
After the injury, Hakimi began treatment in Spain before returning home to receive Africa's Player of the Year, and recently he resumed rehab inside PSG's walls.
He is racing against time to be fit in time for his country's participation at the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from December 21 to January 18.
The Atlas Lions begin their campaign against Comoros in the opening match of Group A, which also includes Mali and Zambia.
If comebacks were free kicks, Hakimi would have curled one from the halfway line.
AFCON is looming—it's the biggest deadline with a built-in assist.
