Hazard's Endorsement Sparks Premier League Talk
Eden Hazard, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid star, has named Cesc Fabregas for a major assignment in the Premier League.
In quotes carried by Football Italia, Hazard said the time has come for a return to Stamford Bridge for his ex-teammate.
He added: “I am going to be blunt; we talked a bit in the summer. I told him he is one of the best midfielders ever and that he is destined to become one of the best managers too.”
He explained that the time is right for a Chelsea comeback; Fabregas joked, but Hazard genuinely believes in him. Fabregas loves the game and knows Chelsea inside out. Hazard, a Chelsea supporter, wishes the club well and dreams of seeing Fabregas on the substitutes’ bench while Hazard watches from the stands.
Fabregas is in his second Serie A season with Como, and the team sits sixth in 2025-26, four points off a European berth.
Hazard also noted Juventus winger Keinan Yildiz has caught his eye, believing the 20-year-old could one day play for Real Madrid.
Hazard adds that his kids are crazy about Yildiz and want plenty of clips; he jokes that the Real Madrid dream might be closer than the Premier League for now.
PUNCHLINE 1: If Fabregas returns, Chelsea's midfield will feel like a reunion tour—great hits, slightly older tempo, and a few encore passes.
PUNCHLINE 2: If Hazard winds up in the stands, the soundtrack will be loud: “Hazard, Hazard!” echoing louder than the game itself.
