Inter eyeing a return for a former star
Italian outlets report that Inter Milan are actively shaping their winter transfer plans, with a clear intention to bring back one of their former stars to the squad.
According to Italian journalist Luca Marchetti on Sky Sports, Croatian winger Ivan Perisic is ready to return to Inter, while Brazilian right-back Luis Henrique could depart the club after only six months.
Marchetti said there is an agreement in principle between Inter and Perisic. The player wants to come back to Milan, but PSV Eindhoven is not negotiating at the moment, and no talks are planned if Inter fail to qualify for the Champions League; an attempt will be made starting Thursday.
Perisic, who wore Inter's colors from 2015 to 2022 and helped the club win the 2020-21 Serie A title, is now with Eindhoven, delivering solid form in the Dutch league and in Europe.
Henrique: departure options
Marchetti added that Inter could still sign another right winger this winter. It remains to be seen which exciting options might be pursued in the final days, as Luis Henrique reportedly has multiple options, including Beşiktaş and Bournemouth.
Palacios loan to Estudiantes
In a separate move, Marchetti revealed that Tomás Palacios has been loaned to Estudiantes for one year until January 2027, with a final purchase option in a total package of around 6-7 million euros.
Inter's moves come as the club seeks to strengthen depth on the right and manage squad turnover.
Punchline 1: If transfer rumors paid rent, Inter would own Milan already. Sniper joke: shot through the press conference—one cap, three headlines.
Punchline 2: In football mercato, the calendar moves faster than the ball—January is basically a season on fast-forward. Sniper joke: even my coffee has more stability than these deals.
