Inter solidifies its future with a Kivo extension
Inter Milan has reached a preliminary agreement to renew head coach Cristian Kivo's contract until summer 2028, signaling the club's trust in the young Romanian manager and his project.
The renewal includes a salary increase tied to the team's results in Serie A and the Champions League as part of a performance-based policy.
According to Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport, the current contract, due to expire in June 2027, would be extended by one year to June 2028, with the signing expected at the end of the season.
Currently earning around 2.5 million euros net per year, the new figure will be reassessed based on Inter's performances in the league and in Europe.
Marotta praised Kivo during the opening of Casa Italia for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics, highlighting the coach's character and professional path.
Dimarco is also on Inter's renewal radar; his current contract runs to June 2027, and a possible extension through 2030 would be explored to keep the left-back long-term.
Negotiations on final terms are still ongoing, with both sides hopeful for a long-term collaboration that keeps Inter competitive domestically and continentally.
Punchline 1: If Kivo's plan were a sniper shot, it would be a perfect hit on the trophy cabinet.
Punchline 2: And if patience were a footballer, Inter's board just signed him for three more seasons.
