Vollkrog Set for Milan Move in January
An Italian press report on Monday said Milan has sealed a deal for German striker Niklas Vollkrog, a West Ham United player, starting January.
According to Sky Italia, West Ham agreed to loan Vollkrog for free until the end of season, provided Milan covers the player's full salary.
The report added that Vollkrog is expected to arrive in Milan soon to finalize the deal and meet the fans.
Vollkrog moved to West Ham in 2024 from Dortmund, but injuries prevented him from securing a starting spot.
Milan aims to strengthen its attack in January, after forward Santiago Gimenez suffered an injury that will keep him out for a long period.
Wolfsburg had also shown interest in signing Vollkrog, but the player is now closer to Milan.
Punchline 1: If goals were a loan, Vollkrog just got a very favorable interest rate.
Punchline 2: And the only thing longer than the contract? The queue of Milan fans waiting for his first goal.
