Kalmar weighs permanent deal for Ashraf Dari
A report published on Wednesday reveals Kalmar FF's stance on acquiring Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari from Al Ahly on a permanent basis.
Dari joined Kalmar on loan from Al Ahly, with the loan running until the end of the current season, and Kalmar reportedly considering making the move permanent.
Dari is entering a pivotal phase of his career in Swedish football, while Al Ahly continues to cover part of his wages and is seeking a full sale to ease financial pressures.
According to Barometern, Kalmar plans to buy Dari's contract and also target his teammate Charles Sago Junior, who is on loan from Arsenal.
Mathias Winblad, Kalmar's sporting director, said: If all goes well, that could be possible to buy the players outright.
Kalmar had a deal with Al Ahly that includes a fixed purchase option at the end of the loan period.
It’s noted that Dari has appeared 26 times for Al Ahly since joining in 2024, having signed a contract with his parent club until 2028, before being dropped from the current coach Yis Torup and placed on loan again last January.
