Kane's Calf Keeps Bayern's Fire Burning: Kompany Remains Calm as Lead Could Grow

Injury Update
The Belgian coach is not worried Kane will miss the big showdown, signaling a calm approach to the setback.
Harry Kane will miss Bayern Munich's match against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday due to a calf muscle injury, a blow to his hopes of breaking the Bundesliga's single-season scoring record.
Coach Vincent Kompany said the injury isn't serious, but it will prevent Kane from taking part in Friday's game, a fixture that could widen Bayern's lead at the top to 14 points.
"He took a knock to the calf and hasn't fully recovered. It's not serious at the moment, but we may need one more day before he can participate. We are fairly calm. Of course we'd have liked to include Kane, but such things happen," Kompany said at a press conference.
The coach did not express concern about Kane's possible absence for Bayern's trip to Atalanta in the Champions League last-16 tie next week.
Kane had already scored 30 Bundesliga goals this season and needs 11 more to equal Lewandowski's 41 for a single campaign.
Only 10 matches remain in the season.
Punchline 1: If Kane can't score today, maybe the calves can carry the team—it's the only leg day Bayern can’t skip.
Punchline 2: Bayern’s plan B is simple: heal fast, keep the faith, and let the physios pretend to be goalkeepers for a match.
