AFCON Triumph Triggers a Cake-Filled Celebration
Al Hilal players held a celebration for their teammate Kalidou Koulibaly, Senegal’s captain, after he clinched the Africa Cup of Nations title for the second time in his country’s history.
Senegal went on to win AFCON on Sunday, defeating host nation Morocco 1-0 in the final.
Koulibaly missed the final after an adductor injury suffered in the semi-final against Egypt.
Al Hilal posted a video on X showing players celebrating Koulibaly with a large cake bearing the photo of the Senegalese captain.
Yassine Bono, the Moroccan goalkeeper, appears in the video hugging Koulibaly and congratulating him on the African achievement.

Regarding Bono, the club announced that his medical tests showed a bruise in the anterior thigh and that he followed today’s routine at the club’s medical facility and gym.
Hilal is preparing to face Al Riyadh on Sunday in Round 18 of the Roshen Saudi League.
The Zaeem leads the Saudi top flight with 44 points, seven ahead of Al Nassr in second.
