La Liga’s Bold Move Against Racism: A New Ball, A New Message

La Liga expands its anti-racism push
La Liga, led by Javier Tebas, unveiled a new step in its ongoing fight against racism on the pitch.
Tebas has repeatedly stressed the league's resolve to sanction perpetrators and has filed formal complaints in numerous incidents.
Vinícius Júnior, the Real Madrid forward, often faces racist abuse, especially when his team plays away from home.
The league announced that a new anti-racism ball, designed by a prominent Spanish street artist, will be used in the 29th round of La Liga, the 31st round of the Segunda División, and the 23rd round of women's football as part of the LALIGA VS RACISM initiative.
The ball is described as a symbol of unity between football, art, and social commitment, used to send a clear message against discrimination on and off the field.
Sniper punchline 1: If racism were a goalkeeper, it would always be out of position - this time, it can’t save the shot at equality.
Sniper punchline 2: The only offside for racism is when it sits on the bench — let’s play on and score together.
