The exchange extended beyond the stands, as Vinícius also clashed with Villarreal's Alberto Moleiro after a tussle for the ball, with both men exchanging threats.
Moments later, Vinícius joked that Moleiro should move to the center because Valverde wouldn’t let him pass, and the two later shook hands as a sign of peace.
