Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern Munich legend, recalled the chat he had with Barcelona president Joan Laporta when the Catalans appointed Hans Flick.

Rummenigge revealed in an interview with AS the valuable advice he gave Laporta on how to handle Flick.

He said, 'I have a strong friendship with Laporta, and before his return to leadership, I warned him about the club's delicate finances, but he was the first to believe and will push forward whatever happens'.

Time has proven Laporta's view right: on the field, Barca has risen to the top, and financially, gains are starting to appear gradually.

He added that with Flick the key is to be his friend, because Hans needs trust.
