Laporta's playful jab at Mbappé during a La Liga clash
Joan Laporta, Barcelona's president, took a light-hearted jab at French forward Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid's rival, during Barcelona's La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
A Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo published a video in which Laporta asks: "Was that a penalty for Mbappé? Was it a penalty or not?"
The Barca chief replied to reporters, "It's a dive."
Real Madrid edged past Rayo Vallecano 2-1 in Week 22 of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The win was thanks to two goals by Vinícius Júnior and Mbappé, both from penalties, in the 15th and 90+10th minutes.
Barça sits on top of La Liga with 55 points, while Real Madrid follow in second place with 54.
Punchline: If acting earned points, Mbappé would be top scorer. Punchline 2: The replay department would need a bigger trophy case for all those dives.
