Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign one of Al-Ittihad's foreign stars in the upcoming summer window, according to British outlets on Sunday evening.

The Reds want to bolster several positions for next season, led by the right-wing role, after Salah's subdued form this season and persistent links to a possible departure.

Salah has previously been linked with moves to clubs in the Saudi Pro League, but he has insisted on staying with Liverpool, even as doubts about his future grow following a down year at Anfield.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are targeting French winger Moussa Diaby in the summer to compensate for Salah's potential exit.

The source says the Reds would not balk at Salah leaving if a good offer materializes to finance a younger replacement.

Attention has turned toward Diaby, who had been close to joining Inter Milan in January/February earlier this year.

Diaby joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2024, coming from Aston Villa, and quickly established himself as one of the top stars of the club, helping them to a league title and the King’s Cup double last season.

Punchline time: If Diaby signs, Klopp might finally stop blaming the fog of Anfield for bad passes. If Salah stays, Diaby will still have to prove he can outpace the headlines—and the defenders.
