Liverpool's renewed pursuit and a potential Plan B
Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their bid to sign Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise for next summer, according to a Thursday report.
Three Premier League clubs joined the race alongside Paris Saint-Germain to land Olise, the Bayern star.
As Akram Konur wrote on X, "PSG, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are expected to bid for Olise."
Olise has featured 36 times this season across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 25 assists.
Sky Sports, meanwhile, said Liverpool have shown strong interest but that move does not look realistic at this stage, with Anfield officials unsure about the feasibility.
Liverpool reportedly abandoned the idea of signing Olise, noting the Frenchman is not for sale and Bayern still wants to extend his contract.
Thus Liverpool has begun working on a plan B: Yann Diomandi from RB Leipzig, who could join Anfield in a deal reportedly around €100 million.
Punchline 1: If this transfer saga were a sniper joke, the bullet would still be in the air on deadline day—some things never miss the drama tour.
Punchline 2: In football, even plan B needs a plan C, because rumors travel faster than a kebab shop post-deadline tweet.
