Madrid’s Bold Move: Real Madrid to Re-sign Nico Paz in 2026
25 December 2025
Real Madrid's plan for Nico Paz
Real Madrid has settled its stance on re-signing Nico Paz, the young Argentine who left Como for a four-year deal, by the end of the 2025-26 season, amid ongoing speculation about his future.
Market value and upcoming season
According to AS, Real Madrid will activate Paz's buy-back option in Como's contract in summer 2026, as reported by the Spanish outlet.
The 21-year-old international left Real Madrid in 2024 to join Como on a four-year deal for 6 million euros, after leaving Madrid.
But Madrid, as usual, kept a recall clause in the contract allowing re-signing in either 2026 or 2027 for 9 million euros.
Despite Inter Milan's interest, Paz is set to return to the Santiago Bernabéu with Madrid intent on keeping him and integrating him into the squad.
Officials plan to include Paz in the Merengues' squad from next season after proving himself in Italy.
All this comes as Paz's market value has risen to 65 million euros, per Transfermarkt, and potentially in Europe.
