Injury storm ahead of La Liga showdown with Celta Vigo
Arbeloa in real trouble.
Alvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid's manager, received a timely boost ahead of tomorrow's match against Celta Vigo, scheduled for round 27 of La Liga.
Real Madrid are grappling with key absences caused by a spate of injuries, the latest being Brazilian Rodrygo who suffered a torn ACL.
Additionally, players suspended for accumulating yellow cards, and an Argentine international who was sent off in the Getafe game following a heated exchange with the referee, add to the turbulence around the squad.
But AS revealed that Eduardo Camavinga is back in training after his recent injury layoff, and could be available for the clash.
Raúl Asensio is also travelling with the group, his presence useful since David Alaba is out with a calf injury.
Real Madrid will be without nine players for the match, including Militao (thigh/near tendon issue), Hoisen (fifth yellow), Alaba (calf), Carreras (fifth yellow), Bellingham (left hamstring), Ceballos (right foot), Mastantono (red card), Rodrygo (ACL), and Mbappé (left knee sprain).
Consequently, only 15 first-team players remain available for Arbeloa, a figure that would have been 13 without the presence of Asensio and Camavinga.
