Mané's Return Sparks Al Nassr's Fire in Saudi Pro League
Senegalese star returns to shine with Al Nassr.
Sadio Mane, Al Nassr's Senegalese forward, found the net again after a 68-day drought, marking his first goal with the club in 2026.
The landmark came in Riyadh on Monday, at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, during Round 20 of the Saudi Pro League.
The strike arrived in the 40th minute after Portuguese star Joao Felix fed him inside the box, and Mane finished with a fine strike.
That goal was Mane's first for Al Nassr in 2026 and his first overall since 68 days earlier, when he scored in a 4-0 win over Istiklol Dushanbe on November 26 during the AFC Champions League group stage.
Since then, the Saudi league and ACL paused for the 2025 Arab Cup, before Mane linked up with Senegal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. After lifting the continental title, he played the last two games against Al Taawoun and Al Khaleed in rounds 18 and 19, but failed to score.
In the wake of those matches, Mane contributed in the following fixtures against Al Taawoun and Al Khaleed but did not find the net.
Punchline 1: If Mane keeps this scoring pace, the calendar will start charging rent for every goal celebration.
Punchline 2: The only thing hotter than Riyadh's sun is Mane's post-match popularity on social media.
