Simoni Inzaghi, the Italian coach of Al Hilal, faced harsh media criticism after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Al Taawoun in Round 27 of the Saudi Pro League, sparking debate over the team’s performance and the coach’s decisions.

With the draw, Al Hilal climbed to 65 points, tied with Al Ahli in third place and five behind leaders Al Nassr with seven games remaining in the season.

Sports commentator Khaled Al-Sheneef, on the Saudi show Dourina Ghair, said: 'Al Hilal has shown chaos and tactical disorder this season, evident against Al Taawoun due to the absence of Salem Al-Dawsari and Sergej Savic.'

Inzaghi commented: 'It's true the team hasn't lost yet, but wins and draws have come through individual decisions rather than clear coaching leadership.'
